A study based on the NPSA’s National Reporting and Learning System (NRLS) estimated 1,250 reports of injuries from striking or trapping limbs in bedrails are made every twelve months from hospitals and mental health units in England and Wales. The Medicines and Health Care Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) have had reports of 21 bedrail related deaths from 2000 – 2006. What Size Bumpers Do I Need?

The Deep Pile Polyester Bed Rail Bumpers come in six different sizes to fit standard size bed rails, as well as bed rails that are high-sided or full-length. If your hospital bed has high-sided rails, one of the options with a 96cm height would be suitable. Depending on the coverage required, you can select bumpers that are long enough to provide the correct amount of protection suitable for the patients height.
