What Is the Benefit of a Tubular Sheet?
By sewing the material into a continuous tube, the fabric can be rolled throughout the turning process to reduce stress on both the carer and patient. The double-sewn, low-profile seam reduces the risk of potential tissues viability issues, while adding strength and durability to the sheet.
Specially-Designed Transtex Fabric
The Cromptons Tubular Slide Sheets are specially designed using a lightweight, silicone-based material called Transtex. This fabric provides a smooth, low-friction surface layer that enables better mobility when it comes to moving or turning a patient while they are in bed.
What Size Are the Sheets?
The Cromptons Tubular Slide Sheets are designed for bariatric patients, and measure 200 x 140cm.
Are The Sheets Washable?
No, these sheets are intended for use with one patient and are not washable in a machine. However, if the sheets become lightly soiled, they can be wiped clean using a diluted chlorine-based solution or sterilisation fluid.
