Who Can Benefit from the Treat-Eezi Seat Pad?
When placed on top of a foam cushion, the Treat-Eezi Seat Pad can reduce the amount of downward pressure placed on a person's lower body when they sit down, while also helping to combat sweating and keep the skin cool and ventilated. This design is intended to aid patients who must spend long periods of time sitting time and are at risk of developing pressure sores or tissue breakdown as a result (decubitus ulcers), including those who use wheelchairs.
How Comfortable Is the Treat-Eezi Seat Cushion?
To prevent discomfort during prolonged periods of sitting, the Treat-Eezi seat cushion is made to greatly reduce pressure on the lower body, and to cushion and pad the area as much as possible. When combined with a foam cushion of between 2" - 4", it can spread the user's weight evenly along its surface, taking focused pressure off of any part of the ischial bones (bony area of the backside), guaranteeing lasting comfort and pain-relief.
What Conditions Can the Treat-Eezi Seat Pad Help With?
Using a clever 4-layer fabric design, the Treat-Eezi seat pad offers effective relief from pressure when sitting down, and resultant complications like pressure sores or decubitus ulcers. Clinically proven to help heal grade 2, 3 and 4 open wounds, it can be used by those who are already suffering from pressure sores, or who may be at risk of developing them.
What Kind Of Chairs Can the Seat Overlay Be Used On?
This seat pad can be used with any type of chair, so long as it has a foam-based seating surface. For example, it is suitable for standard chairs, recliners, sofas, armchairs and wheelchairs, and it can also be easily brought to the car or the workplace due to its compact, portable size.
Can I Clean the Treat-Eezi Seat Pad?
The Treat-Eezi Seat Pad is suitable for direct contact with the skin, and can be washed whenever necessary at up to 80°C, and can also be bleached. Alternatively, you can place the pad inside a Vapour Permeable Cover, which can then be wiped down with any non-abrasive disinfectant for quick and easy hygiene maintenance.
How Big Is the Treat-Eezi Seat Pad?
This seat pad is supplied in a single standard size of 40cm x 50cm, which is suitable for 98% of patients. Due to its compact size, it can be used at anytime or anyplace to help users protect the health of their tissue and skin during long periods of sitting.
