What Does a Pressure Relief Foam Cushion Do?
Employing a castellated design, the Pressure Relief Foam Cushion has a high-density combustion modified polyurethane inner and an increased surface contact area to redistribute pressure and alleviate force on your joints and bones when sitting for long periods at a time. For wheelchair users, pressure sores and ulcers can be a common problem, as well as general aches and discomfort. Using a foam pressure relief cushion works to reduce impact on peak pressure points and provide additional comfort.
Removeable Cover for Easy Maintenance
Wheelchair cushions that are used daily can often attract dirt or stains, especially if it's in use while you are eating, therefore easy maintenance is essential to ensure its longevity. To clean the Pressure Relief Foam Cushion, simply remove the cover and machine wash it up to 40°C for just fifteen minutes and tumble dry on a low setting. Once it is completely dry, zip your cover back onto the foam cushion for use.
