What Should I Check Before Use?
Before using the Harvest Side Mesh Rails, ensure they have been installed correctly, and that they can be raised and lowered as is intended (as described in the PDF instruction manual above). You should also make sure the zips and straps are working properly and that no part of the rails have been damaged.
How Do I Use The Harvest Bed Guards Safely?
Black loops are attached to the top corners of each bed rail so that it can be easily raised and lowered. The rails should be lowered and buckled down when there is no carer present to stop the patient from becoming entrapped between the rails and the bed.
How Do I Lock the Rails Down When Not In Use?
Whenever the patient is left unattended and the bed is left in a lowered position, the bed rails should be properly locked down to reduce the risk of injury. This should be done using the two halves of the plastic buckles locating in the outer centre of each bed rail.
Do These Rails Have Holes for Wiring?
There is a gap located in the centre of the right bed rail (i.e. right of the patient when they are lying down in bed). This can be used to feed through tubing as well as wiring for any medical devices.
How Do I clean these Mesh Side Rails?
The Harvest Woburn side rails can be cleaned, although you should avoid using any harsh or abrasive cleaners or ironing. The cover can be wiped using a mild detergent, while the netting must be removed from the bumpers and wiped with soap and water (leave the mesh to air dry fully before replacing).
Only Compatible with the Harvest Woburn Ultra-Low Profiling Bed
The Harvest Mesh Side Rails have only been created for use with the Harvest Woburn Ultra-Low Profiling Bed. Do not attempt to install them onto a different bed as this might affect the rails' function and efficacy, and can potentially put patients at risk.
