Stability and Support
This cushion works to ensure the user is as stable and secure in their seated position as possible, and is particularly suited to paediatric or small-framed users. The pommel at the front of the cushion ensures the user's femurs are in a midline position, promoting proper posture and allowing air circulation. Finally, the contoured design of the cushion also results in raised edges for increased lateral support, further enhancing stability.
Contoured and Castellated
The contoured foam of this cushion results in a large contact surface with the user, providing maximum weight distribution. Since the foam is castellated, air circulation is enhanced, and the cushion sections can move slightly with the user. This movement helps to reduce shear and friction forces, further boosting the cushion's level of pressure relief.
Ingress-Resistant Covers
The covers supplied with this cushion are ingress-resistant to improve both hygiene and longevity. Treated with a fluorocarbon-based fluid repellent finish to prevent wetting and reduce risk of contamination, these covers prevent fluid ingress and aid in the prevention of pressure ulcers.
