The Invacare Low Profiling Bed provides peace of mind for carers and patients. It sits only 210mm from the floor which eliminates risk of injury from falls or poor balance.

Is the Bed Height Easily Adjustable?

Yes, this bed is made with a flexible design to make it simple to adjust the platform to an ideal height. For maximum versatility, the mattress platform height can be adjusted between 210mm and 610mm to provide a comfortable working height for carers and an ideal transfer height for patients.

Can I Add Side Rails?

Yes, you can add side rails to your bed by purchasing the Invacare Medley Ergo Full Length Side Rails. These are available in three styles, including an extendable version, and must be purchased with the Invacare Medley Ergo Slider Assembly Set for attachment.

Is This Bed Comfortable for the User?

This bed is designed to provide comfort for long hours of use each day, with proportional sections to enhance comfort when sitting and during profiling. This means that patients can comfortably sit up in bed, and won't have to readjust after the bed is adjusted into a different position. Theis combines with the pressure relieving properties of the foam mattress to provide superior comfort for any patient.

Which Patients Is The Softform Pressure Mattress Suitable For?

This mattress provides excellent weight distribution and can be converted into an alternating surface, making it suitable for use by all patient groups. The hybrid therapy that is provided is suitable for all requirements, and can provide comfort and relief for patients with intact skin to those with severe pressure ulcers (when the RX Pump is activated). With the addition of the RX Pump, pressure therapy can be quickly stepped up or down to cater to patient needs and risk level.

How Does the Mattress Provide Both Static and Dynamic Pressure Relief?

The mattress is a cost-effective solution to addressing pressure ulcers, reducing the amount of mattresses and beds required as well as minimising the amount of transfers a patient must be put through. The integral foam mattress is suitable for those at very high risk of pressure sore development, and can be transformed into an alternating air mattress system with the simple push of a button on the RX Pump for treatment of severe ulcers. The alternating air cells located underneath the foam can be seen in the graphic below.

Will The Mattress Still Provide Pressure Care in a Power Failure?

Yes, the high specification foam surface provides pressure relief suitable for patients at very high pressure sore risk, meaning it is suitable to use without a pump or in the event of a power failure. This eliminates the need for emergency intervention in the event of unforeseen complications.
