Is the Motion Sensor Alarm Suitable for Nurse Call Systems?
The motion sensor alarm system is supplied with a range of different plug options for the wall point receiver, and an option without a plug. The option without a plug can be used without a nurse call system, while the different plug options are designed to connect to a nurse call system.
PIR Technology
The Alerta Detect Uses infrared technology to trigger an alert when body movement is detected within the range of the beam. Using PIR technology, this system can function in almost any situation and is especially useful in environments where alarm mats are not an option.
Functioning as a simple 'plug-and-play' system, the Alerta Detect connects directly into the nurse call system, and can be powered by either mains or battery power. To make this system as versatile as possible, it is available with a choice of six plug types to be compatible with almost any nurse call system.
Patient Freedom
One of the primary advantages of the Alerta Detect compared to traditional alarm mats is its ability to give patients the freedom of their room, without sacrificing safety and quality care. This system allows the patient a certain amount of movement and mobility, while still providing care teams with advanced warning of any risk of falling or attempts to wander from the room.
The Alerta Detect is most effective when mounted near a door or at a patient's bedside to detect either falls or wandering. When the patient moves into the range of the infrared beam, it will activate the nurse call system, prompting the care giver to ascertain the patient's safety.
