The Alerta Deluxe Heel Pressure Relieving Boot is designed to provide comfort and relief for bedbound patients who are at high risk of developing bed sores. Its brushed nylon fabric is incredibly smooth, creating a comfortable surface for the foot to sit while it is elevated to reduce pressure.

Who Can Use the Alerta Deluxe Heel Boot?

The Alerta Deluxe Heel Pressure Bootee is recommended t be used with patients at high risk of developing pressure sores, including the following:

• Elderly people 
• Those who are immobile or bedbound 
• Patients with arthritis 
• Patients recovering from surgery
• Those with poor circulation
• Underweight or overweight patients
• Those with broken or swollen skin
• Those who have had a pressure ulcer before

How Do I Apply the Alerta Heel Pressure Relief Boot?

To put the pressure boot on, please follow the steps below:

• Step 1: Release and loosen the Velcro closure on the toe and calf straps
• Step 2: Position heel in the boot so that it is suspended over the heel cut-out
• Step 3: Position the shin pad so it is centred over the shin 

• Step 4: Fasten the toe strap, without overtightening.
• Step 5: Fasten the Velcro calf strap ensuring a snug fit. Do not overtighten.

• Step 6: Check that the foot and calf are securely in place and that the straps are not too tight.
• Step 7: Check that the heel is suspended over the heel cut-out and is not rubbing or touching areas on the positioner. Readjust as necessary.

Comfortable Surface Eliminates Friction

The Alerta Heel Pressure Ulcer Boot features a brushed nylon fabric that is cool and smooth to touch. This fabric provides a comfortable surface that eliminates friction and provides much needed relief from pressure ulcers.

Memory Foam Reduces Pressure Risk

The Alerta Deluxe Heel Pressure Relieving Bootee features an internal padding that is made from memory foam. This foam provides great pressure relief by gently hugging and moulding to the foot, eliminating the risk of rubbing the more the boot is used.

How Do I Wash the Alerta Pressure Relief Boot?

The Alerta Pressure Relieving Boot can be spot cleaned and left to air dry.
