Community Bed with Trendelenburg Tilting

The Alerta Lomond Community Bed is carefully designed to deliver care, functionality, and quality making it an excellent addition for any care environments including hospitals, care homes and residential care settings. It specially boasts the Trendelenburg and reverse Trendelenburg tilting feature, which places the person's head down and elevates the feet, so that their whole body is sloping down with the feet higher than the rest of the body.

Castellated Foam for Targeted Pressure Relief

The foam in this pressure care mattress is castellated, which serves a number of both functional and comfort purposes. It assists with profiling by allowing the mattress to move in independent sections, ensuring the surface bearing the patient's weight does not slip under the patient or move. The castellation improves pressure relief by allowing small sections of the mattress to move with the patient to reduce friction forces, and also opens up pockets of air flow to cool the patient from underneath and reduce the risk of the formation of sweat and moisture.

Side Rails for Additional Patient Safety

Despite the low profile of these beds, patients are still at risk of falling and causing injury to themselves. The side rails on the Alerta Community Bed provides greater patient safety, ensuring that patients will not accidentally roll out of bed during the night and injure themselves.

For the perfect working level between the carer and the user, the Alerta Community Profiling Bed has a 30cm to 70cm operating height range. Enabling other necessary adjustments, the Alerta Community Bed features a knee brake adjustment, an electrically adjustable backrest, and click-stop lower leg raising elevation.

Ten Function Lockable Handset

Included as part of the design of the Alerta Medical Community Profiling Bed is a ten-function handset with a lock-out capability. This is especially ideal when there is a risk of unwanted patient tampering, ensuring that care givers can provide the best and most consistent positioning to their patient.

Machine Washable Cover For Easy Sanitation

To improve durability and quality of care, this mattress is fitted with a multi-stretch and waterproof cover. This vapour permeable PU cover is antimicrobial, to reduce bacteria and odour, and fully machine-washable at 65°C for no less than 10 minutes, so that you can keep your patient's environment sanitary at all times. To make it as easy as possible to identify fluid ingress, the mattress cover is designed with a white underside.

Will This Bed Stabilise the Mattress?

Yes, unlike most other profiling beds, the Alerta Community includes four mattress grips. These grips can be seen at the corners of the mattress platform, and will keep the mattress stable during profiling to ensure slipping or displacement is prevented.
